On Wednesday 8th March, Georgia Obertelli, Nutritionist and Chris Prosser, Executive Chef held a lunch time cookery session for 17 pupils at Bromsgrove School. The pupils are in sixth form, and were keen to learn cookery skills ahead of heading off to university later this year.

The pupils created a freshly prepared lunch of Pasta Bolognese, Pasta Pomodoro, Pasta Pesto, garlic bread, salad, coleslaw and shortbread. 

All of the dishes were carefully prepared by the students under the guidance of Georgia and Chris.

 
The students had a great time, with many asking for more sessions!


Chris Prosser commented: ''The level of enthusiasm from the students taking part was fantastic. To be able to produce so many different dishes in such a short time and to such a high standard was an amazing feat, and one they should all be proud of''

Georgia also presented to Year 9 students later on in the day to talk about the importance of healthy eating, sugar, the eat well guide and the impact of external influences such as social media on food choices.
 
The day finished with Georgia conducting an informal talk with parents around nutrition in schools and how we can encourage healthy eating habits.
